Welcome to another blessed week brothers and sisters!
I hope your week is looking a lot nicer than ours is - we're anxiously preparing for a polar vortex to pass over Ontario right now - with the worst reports calling for us to expect temperatures of -50 C in some places - pray that the storm doesn't shut down church too badly tomorrow! I'm the type of person that cannot stand cold weather, so this time of year is when I just lock in and get a ton of work done for myself. Otherwise, we can't be anything but grateful for what God is continuing to bring into our lives!
Scripture Reading
Today's reading is a bit of an intense one, coming from Hebrews 10:26-31 and stating:
"Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins. There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us. For we know the one who said, 'I will take revenge. I will pay them back.' He also said, 'The LORD will judge his own people.'"
... yeah, that verse can be a bit of a mood killer. People like to say how Matthew 7:21-23 is one of the scariest passages of scripture for Christians, but this is just as scary in my opinion. I can't speak for everyone, but if you've been seeing our recent videos on YouTube (which you should definitely set 15 minutes aside to check out 😁 especially for a quick Bible study), this year has felt like a year of conviction for me - taking a step back and really reflecting on my own behaviour throughout the day, and thus seeing how often I come up short in terms of being Godly, obeying God. Obedience is one of the most difficult things to be for Christ, and it will push us to see who is really about serving and giving Christ all and who isn't built for it.
"What's new with C.O.E. and Evan this week?"
"Christ Trending (Freestyle)" … is finally out NOW!!! My goodness, it's been an uphill battle to get this thing released and in front of the public. I don't want to directly say there's been demonic interference in having it hit the internet, but there's absolutely been some crazy issues I've never experienced before (not being able to have the word "freestyle" in the title, the artwork getting "corrupted" or having "too much white space"). Regardless, the song is FINALLY released on all platforms and is available for listening. Be sure to give it a listen and see if it fits into your playlists:

As usual, our weekly video is going to be coming on Monday, and we will be finishing the 2-week "series" (unintentionally) on Exodus 20:1-6 and idolatry, with this part speaking to specific idols and how to break the hold of them in our lives.
Here's the word from Evan for the coming week - "Next week, I am excited to launch Y3AR 11 - the documentary series about my time in the music industry over 11 years and everything that has come along with it. It indirectly serves as my testimony, so if you've ever been curious, it's definitely worth checking out!"

Prayer Break and Encouragement
Our prayers right now are with Ottawa Senators goalkeeper Linus Ullmark, who has recently had to battle online rumours of marital troubles following a leave of absence from the team, only to reveal days ago that he has been battling severe mental health problems for over a year now. Mental health is something that we still aren't taking seriously as a society in 2026, and we as Christians need to be the first ones to jump in and be present for people in the same place as Linus. If able to, please lift up Linus and his family as they go through this hard season in their lives to God.
From Evan: "The more I work on content related to this channel, the more I feel God convicting me of what I need to change and cut out - and the environments I place myself into. Sometimes, being in certain places can make me slip back into a person I used to be, and not a person I want to be. My prayer is that God would give me the discernment and self-control to say no or to disassociate from those settings and environments, however He calls me to."
As usual, if you have any prayer requests for yourself, feel free to fill out our prayer form, either named or anonymously. We would love to have the chance to pray for you.
May God continue to make your paths straight, reveal His will for your life to You and bless you and your loved ones abundantly. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
