The Story Of CrossOver Everything

Where we've been...

Nowhere, really - at least not yet. CrossOver Everything in its named form has not existed until 2025, but ministry has been a direct objective of yourman3VAN since the launch of his debut EP “Sounds Of My Testimony" at the top of the year (more about that here).

Etymology

CrossOver Everything was birthed by name on October 3rd, 2025. The concept of “crossover” was initially brainstormed by 3VAN as he tried to define his own musical sound following his fall stream of singles Life Less, Crosswalks and Lay Down following an EP with Christian rapper Ant Lee (link to website). Latching onto the idea of his music being a fusion and “crossover” of various musical styles and genres, he first settled on the title of “crossover music” as the branding keyword for his own micro-genre.

This would last for less than a minute, as 3VAN came to realize of how God was communicating to him to keep putting the Cross over his music, thus shaping the meaning to be rooted less in blending genres, and instead in keeping what Christ did on the cross above the musical talent he had been blessed with since his days of elementary school.

In one last step, the name was reshaped one last time from keeping the Cross over just music to keeping the Cross over everything of value in our lives, leading us to the foundation of the name we see today - CrossOver Everything.

Where are we going?

James 4:15 instructs us on the following: “Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that,’ ” meaning that we can’t say for certain where we are going!

What is within our control is our ability to show up and give people the tools to tell others of the importance of putting what Christ did on the Cross over everything - taking on the sins of the world and defeating death so we could have access to a relationship with Him.

Once we put Christ over everything else in our lives, we are finally able to understand our purpose based on what He has equipped us to do. With respect to this, we will go wherever we can to proclaim this truth to others and arms those with a passion for serving Christ to do so.
